Mrs SALLY QUINNELL (Camden)—In celebration of World Radio Day, I would like to celebrate a local radio station that still goes strong today. Vintage FM first broadcast in 2009 to the Penrith area before expanding in 2014 into the Macarthur region. Vintage FM plays music from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Songs that are over 40 years old and were originally released on vinyl. On their website they proudly display that they play music from the Beatles, Chuck Berry, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Queen, Abba, Bee Gees, Elton John and many others. The team at Vintage Fm work extremely hard to put together quality music radio that everyone can enjoy, even if it caters more to an older audience. I would like to acknowledge Kevin who does breakfast from 6am to 10am, John Bond with the afternoon show, Wilmo and Kevin, the team behind weekend mornings, Dennis Mitchell with his famous Breakfast with the Beatles every Saturday morning, Artie Stevens with the Top 40: 50 Year Flashback. The staff at Vintage FM are what make the station such a fantastic part of our community.
