Mrs SALLY QUINNELL (Camden)—On Monday 13 May it was my privilege to attend the Camden fire station open day, which joined together the officers of Camden and Narellan fire stations. The open day was a wonderful opportunity to see what it's like inside the station and gain a greater understanding of the important work that the brave firefighters do for the local community. Exploring some of the equipment that firefighters use when responding to emergencies was fantastic. Our fire stations offer a truly lifesaving service to the whole community and we will always be grateful for the emergency work they do, as well as the fire safety and prevention services they provide. Along with opening up the station, the officers also put on a delicious barbecue which raised money for the burn's unit. Attending the Camden fire station open day was a truly inspiring experience that opened my eyes even more to the great work firefighters do for our community and for that I extend a huge thank you to all the firefighters in my electorate of Camden for the work that they do, every single day.
