TEACHER WORKFORCE

That this House:

(1) Recognises that 40 per cent of the public education teaching workforce have been employed under temporary working conditions.

(2) Acknowledges that the Government, after 12 years of inaction under the former Government, will transition 10,000 teachers and 6,000 school support staff from temporary to permanent positions.

(3) Congratulates the Minister for Education for ensuring that education is at the forefront of the Government's agenda.

(4) Thanks all teachers for their tireless work in supporting the future of our great State.

My team and I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands of which the Camden Electorate is located upon – the Dharawal, Dharug and Gundungurra people.
