SOUTH WEST SYDNEY ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE

That this House:

(1) Recognises that under the former Government, road infrastructure in south west Sydney was severely neglected.

(2) Notes that Spring Farm Parkway was first announced in 2016 but did not begin construction until 2022.

(3) Acknowledges that under the Government, money has been allocated in the budget for planning for Spring Farm Parkway stage two.

(4) Thanks the Minister for Roads for his tireless work in supporting the Camden electorate and south west Sydney.

My team and I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands of which the Camden Electorate is located upon – the Dharawal, Dharug and Gundungurra people.

We acknowledge the land’s elders both past and present and extend that respect to their culture and identity which has been tied to the land and waters of this region for over 60 000 years.

We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and commit to working with the government to establish a First Nations Treaty between the people of NSW, and our First Nations peoples.
