That this House:
(1) Notes that between 2016 and 2021, western Sydney councils built 90,335 new homes, whilst Mosman built just 151, Woollahra, 564 and Hunters Hill, 92.
(2) Calls on these councils to start taking their fair share so western Sydney can catch up on desperately needed infrastructure that the former Government failed to deliver.
My team and I acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands of which the Camden Electorate is located upon – the Dharawal, Dharug and Gundungurra people.
We acknowledge the land’s elders both past and present and extend that respect to their culture and identity which has been tied to the land and waters of this region for over 60 000 years.
We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and commit to working with the government to establish a First Nations Treaty between the people of NSW, and our First Nations peoples.
